This architectonic intervention involves the rotation of a circular section of the wooden partition walls of the project space. The effect of this subtle rotation reminds the viewer of the focus device of a reflex camera, in which the circle in the middle appears in the correct position if the image is sharp. While the spectator attempts to focus the circle, the rest of the space appears out of balance.

’Präzise Unschärfe’ stellt einen Eingriff dar, bei dem ein Kreisausschnitt in den Stellwänden des Ausstellungsraumes verdreht ist. Man ist erinnert an die Vorrichtung zum Scharfstellen bei analogen Kameras, bei der ein Kreis im Zentrum verdreht ist, solange das Motiv nicht fokussiert ist. Beim Betrachten der Installation versucht man automatisch den verdrehten Ausschnitt richtigzustellen, so daß der Rest des Raumes aus dem Gleichgewicht gerät.
